You might be surprised as to what foods are filled with the most nasties (pesticides!) and which are not as nasty! We love sharing the list of plant based foods that are fantastic to include in our daily diet but might be affected by high levels of pesticides.
Going Organic – is a preference, but not always possible. High prices for fruit and veg make it difficult to always fill up the grocery cart with nutrient dense, pure, clean, colorful goodness. If you split your shopping and purchase a few organic items and a few non organic items this chart is a great tool to help you remember how to fill your cart.
The Clean Fifteen is the list of plant foods that are least affected by potent pesticides and ‘safest’ to eat.
The Dirty Dozen is the list of plant foods that is highly affected by toxic pesticides and we advise to try and avoid purchasing them. Instead search for these foods in your local organic grocer.
